Bliss Diary – July 9, 2015

Intention/Affirmation/Mantra:  “How can I serve today, sweet Spirit? How can I serve, oh Lord? Speak in ways that I will understand. Where You lead me, I will follow. Where You lead me, I will go.”

Nutrition:
7:30 longevity tea w/2 TB coconut cream + 1 tsp mct oil + few drops of stevia + collagen
10:30 4 carrot ginger muffins w/ turmeric coconut butter
3:00 handful of coconut chips
4:45 2 cups of nettle + raspberry leaf tea + small spoonful of turmeric coconut butter
5:30 salmon w/ primal mayo wrapped in nori sheets + homemade kale chips + 5 olives

* 60 minute adventure/walk around town w/ E wearing a pair of my old sunglasses with a rubber band to keep them on + a belt around his neck. Hilarious + Awesome!! 🙂
* 5 minute Goddess dance
* 45 minute hike/adventure w/ E

Body Goodness: This week I read Moon Time: Harness the ever-changing energy of your menstrual cycle. As I’ve said in other posts, I am really diggin’ this idea of cyclical living. I realized I bought a few books years ago but never read them. Now, I feeling called to explore and experiment. I always learn what I need when I’m ready to learn it. 🙂

There are 4 phases for a menstruating women every month. The idea is to become aware of what we feel like in our mind, body, emotional life so that we can create our lives around our cycle and ensure we are optimized throughout the month. The week we are menstruating is called the analysis phase, then the initiation phase, then the communication/collaboration phase, then completion phase. (Got these phases from Alisa Vitti)

I am currently in the communication and collaboration phase (day 16). I can totally feel an increase in my energy and a desire for more connection and collaboration with other women. This tends to be a really goooood space for me. I feel pretty light, free and passionate and have an abundance of creativity and joy. #WootWoot

Mind/Heart/Spirit Goodness: I feel a strong inspiration and enthusiasm to optimize. It seems like I’ve always had this inner desire to grow and expand. I also have to be aware of the Superwoman Persona, she likes to creep in the back door and outshine the joy. If I feel the pushing to prove rather than the pulling of something greater than myself I check in with the stories I’m telling and tune back into the frequency of intuition. Today, was all about resting in that blissful place and giving those “not good enough” voices time off. They’ve had their day (years). It’s time to shift! To quote Michale Bernard Beckwith from his song, One Day in Heaven:

Notice and release your acquisitive nature
That part of you that wants to get something to be happy
Instead shift your awareness and ask the question
“How can I bring value to these individuals that are
coming into my life?
And, reminding myself that I bring value by doing the work and having infinite patience in whatever areas I’m playing with. I will always be changing, everything is dynamic. There is no getting there, it’s all right here, change happens now, today. Karen Maezen Miller brings this one home:

You can change in an instant. You can change your mind. You can change your timing. You can change your approach. You can change your words. You can laugh instead of scream. You can hop on one foot. You can step away from the fray instead of stepping in. You can give up, give in, and go in a completely different direction than you’d like to. You can do the dishes later. What then? What next? The Zen master has told you, “You embody the golden breeze.” You are change. You have infinite power to relax, to release, to change, and thus to change everything. If you find that you don’t have the energy or the good humor to do so this time, I will understand. There will be many opportunities afforded you.

Yes, we always have the choice to do something differently. What would our lives feel like if we moved from opportunity to opportunity knowing it is all unfolding with divine perfection? We either show up authentically or not. If not, we get back in the game and give it another go. Who I choose to be today will impact my tomorrows. There is no need to strive for perfection, as we all know that doesn’t exist. Yet, living in integrity with my soul is paramount. Am I living in integrity with my Highest Self? I’m the only one that can know. When the limiting voices are silenced, I believe we all know. Remember, you embody the golden breeze. Let the breeze guide you.

Gratitude & Appreciation: I am grateful for my yummy muffins. I am grateful for the fun hike we did. It was a perfect day. So much love and laughter. I’m continually in awe watching my son grow and learn. I am grateful for Beckwith (love that guy!).  I am grateful for all the women who’ve commented and shared love about this blog. I am grateful for the Oasis peeps, such an amazing community. I am grateful that I’m a mother and a wife. Wow. It’s a totally different stage of my life and I am so blessed to be living the life that I do. #infinitegratitude

Bliss Diary – June 8, 2015

I’m going to share my daily journals here on this blog. I’ve publicly shared my journal on and off the last 9 years. I’ve found that it coaxes me out of hiding and into full expression of my divine essence. It reminds me that my life counts. The simple act of journaling connects me to my deepest self and helps me connect with others. I feel my humanity in a beautiful and powerful way. So…here we go! 🙂

Nutrition:
Fat Tea/Smoothie (longevity herbal tea, coconut milk, mct oil, cacao, ghee, collagen, vanilla, stevia)
25 oz Green Smoothie (cucumber, romaine, avocado, lemon, apple) + handful of coconut chips
Small bowl of strawberries + mulberries
Ginger kombucha and dark cacao bar
Supersized salad with mixed greens, sardines/avocado dressing, dulse wrapped up in nori sheets w/ salmon

Movement:  20 minute morning walk with my toddler & 20 minute Goddess Fitness (it’s kinda like HIIT + yoga + plyometrics) & 15 min walk to store pushing the good ole’ stroller

Affirmation:  I choose to have FUN! 🙂

Magical + Miraculous Moment:  My son woke up at 5:45 am today. We went out on an adventure to pick some apricots from our neighbors tree. Then, we went to the park and sat on a bench together while he ate them. The town was still quiet and the sun on my back felt delightfully nourishing. I smiled and thought: “This is it!! This my miraculous life. I am sitting here with an blond haired angel basking in the morning glow.” I took a deep breathe and closed my eyes and felt the simplicity, joy and magic. Life is good!

I am feeling…inspired, grateful and excited.

Body Goodness: Recently I did some tests and learned I have some imbalances like candida/yeast, parasites, issues with thyroid conversion and taxed adrenals. I am thrilled to know this. I feel like I’m at a tipping point with my health. I have been passionately working with my nutrition for the last 18 years. It’s been a major journey and exploration. Today I met with my acupuncturist and we created a plan to help me optimize even more in the next 3 months. I will be sharing more about this process here on the blog because I know that I am not alone. So many of us (especially women) have similar issues.

Gratitude + Appreciation: I am grateful for my life. I am grateful for who I am and who I am becoming. I am grateful for the abundance of organic food we eat every day. I am grateful for my hubby and all of his support. I am grateful for my son’s light and brilliance. I am grateful for our beautiful home. I am grateful for my Mama. I am grateful for freedom. I am grateful for all my books. I feel so blessed to be able to read and study every day of my life. #blessed
