Bliss Diary – July 6, 2015

Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective, not the truth. — Marcus Aurelius
Intention/Affirmation: I pause in the space between moments. I intend to consciously breath, be more aware and savor my day.

Nutrition:
morning delight
big green goddess salad with some chicken + 2 chocolate delish muffins
ginger tea, lemon + stevia 25 oz
green juice smoothie (cucumber, celery, parsley, lemon, ginger, spinach, 1/2 apple) + 6 scallops

Tonight I made the decision to take cacao out of my diet. I’ve take it out at different times throughout the years. There are lots of antioxidants/superfood benefits and it gives me a little happy boost which is nice. But…it doesn’t help with adrenals. I am committed to optimizing my adrenal function so therefore I am taking out all cacao for the next 30 days. #lifewithoutchocolate #Icandothis ๐Ÿ˜‰

Movement:
* adventure walk with my son and playing some tennis
* 20 minute rebounding (great for moving the lymph system)
* 15 minute Goddess Yoga Dance + 5 minute self-massage

Meditation: 15 minutes + 25 minute napitation + 20 minute deep breathing meditation while getting acupuncture treatment

Mama Laughs: I was writing some notes in my office and I heard my son making some noises in the kitchen. It sounded like he was eating the blueberries and chia that was sitting on his little table. I let him do his thing while I wrote down my ideas. IMG_3358

Then, I went in to check on him and his hands were purple from blueberries. He told me he mashed the blueberry and chia together with his hands. “Tastes better”, he said. HA! of course it does! So awesome! Gotta love little ones creativity. ๐Ÿ™‚

Body Goodness: I think I’m on the mend. My eye is getting better. YAY for natural healing remedies. I’m still feeling lethargic and my lymph nodes areย  working overtime. But, at least my face isn’t super swollen. I got an acupuncture treatment and he said that my sty might be die-off/liver detox from all the powerful herbs I’m taking. I’m gonna go with that story. Detoxing, baby!

Gratitude & Appreciation: I am grateful for my new books on healing that I received. I am grateful for my daily gratitude practice. I am grateful for clean water to drink. I am grateful for my acupuncturist and the treatment I received this evening for my eye. I am grateful for my husband’s support w/ E while I was at my appointment. I am grateful for the beautiful sunny day today. I am grateful to live in such an amazing place. I love our community. I am grateful for my journal. I grateful that my son naps so that I can take naps.

Any Mamas out there who have 2 or more young children?ย  Please give tips on how you do it all ? ๐Ÿ™‚ #supermom

  1. I certainly don’t do it all, or even half-all, but I recall reading in one of my Elizabeth George books( that I have read at least 20 times) that for every child you have, that something else has to give. This has certainly been true for myself. With the birth of my 2nd child( who is now 2 1/2) my reading time and juicing seemed to completely vanish from my life. Not the first few months, but as he was growing, my time was decreasing with 2 children. I love how you have created your life, and I look forward to seeing how you will continue to create in the future. Certainly if you are blessed to have extra support from other woman in the home, then all things are possible, but coming from someone who hasn’t created the extra helping hands, things that are important to you seem to get left behind for a little while. So to do it all, WE NEED AN EXTRA HAND๐Ÿ™Œ

    1. Hi Kim. LOVE this wisdom. Thank you!!! It makes sense. I have moments where I am like, ok how the heck am I going to do this with 2 (not pregnant, just preparing my mind ahead of time). That is a big part of my creative process is finding out what is vital for me to flourish and then making time to do it.

I don’t live with family close by so it has been such a blessing to have an awesome women come to our home and support 2 days a week – one longer day and one short day (except for the 12 days she is on vacation right now). It has been amazing!! I love that in order to do it all we need an extra hand. YES! Lots of extra hands! I will keep that in mind as we get ready for our second baby. ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks again! I appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. I always appreciate Momma wisdom! Sending love to you and your family.

      1. Awesome. Love it!! Made me think about what it might have been like to live in a community/tribe with lots of help and support everywhere from other mothers, grandmothers, fathers, children, etc.

Thanks for the book too. It looks great. Will add to my list. ๐Ÿ™‚ Big Love!
