“Call forth the Divine within not so that you can get something, rather so that you can realize something.” — Iyanla Vanzant
*7:30 am Fat tea (coconut milk, cacao, collagen, ghee, vanilla, cinnamon, stevia)
*12:30 pm 3 Persian cucumbers + 10 olives, + cup of creamy cauliflower soup with 1/2 cup-ish of coconut “popcorn” (coconut chips and oil, cinnamon, sea salt)
*4 ish 24 oz vegetable juice & then 20 minutes later had some righteously raw lucuma/cacao
*6:30 ish guacamole salad w/chicken and nori sea snak w/ lentil dip + kombucha
Wondering about cacao + kombucha. I love and receive great pleasure from both of them but there is also a strong feeling/craving element. I’ve gone through phases where I don’t have either one and I’m totally fine but then once I have them I seem to desire them every day. Just exploring this… 🙂
*10 minute dance/yoga + 30 minute stroll at a toddler’s pace (meaning lots of exploring not a lot of walking) 😉
*19 minute tabata workout – step ups, side lunges, rows/bicep curls, deadlifts, kettlebell swings, plank/mountain climbers
*Family evening walk to the park – about a 30 minute adventure
20 minutes (I meditate at least 15 minutes every day and haven’t missed this habit in 7 years).
Divine Confidence Prayer: I usually do a short free flow prayer after my meditation so I thought I’d record it in hopes you might like it too. 🙂
Affirmation: I am Truth, Beauty & Love!
I was up around 2:30 am with E this morning and had a challenging time going back to sleep so I read my new book (see below) on my kindle app with my nerdy orange glasses to block the blue light and ensure I didn’t suppress the secretion of melatonin. I ended up going back to sleep around 4:00 until I got my wake up call at 5:30 with a Mommy! 😉 I’m glad I was in bed by 8:30 though. I’ve found that I need at least 8-10 hours of sleep consistently. I am usually in bed between 8:30-9:00 every night. I also take a lot of mini naps (15-40 minute) when my son naps. Today I napped for 30 minutes.
I shared a video about no longer being vegan today. I am a bit nervous about it. It can be a pretty controversial topic. I was all about veganism (focusing mostly on raw veganism) for about 9 years. I thought it was the optimal diet for health and something you did if you were committed to a spiritual life. I am still integrating all of it but I don’t believe that’s true anymore. It feels vulnerable to share my experience and yet I think it’s so vital for us to share our stories so we can all learn together. I resisted posting the video but I did it anyways. This is a big part of where I am right now…moving through resistance in all areas of my life. Whew! 🙂
Today I’m reading: I Know How She Does It: How Successful Women Make the Most of Their Time by Laura Vanderkam. I really loved her first book: 168 Hours: You Have More Time Than You Think so I was super excited for it to come out yesterday. 🙂 She recommends tracking your week (168 hours) using a spreadsheet to get a big picture of how you are living your life. I printed it out to do again this week.
Habit I’m working on…The hubby had an idea to start a micro habit of appreciations before we go to bed. We’ve done this on and off for years but this time we’ve made it super easy. We each appreciate each other and then we appreciate ourselves for something we did that day. It takes a few minutes and feels really simple and powerful.
Gratitude + Appreciation:
I am grateful for Whole Foods Market. I am grateful for Anne, Ellen, Stephanie & Jane’s love on the Oasis about this blog. It has been so beautiful to be supported in this way. I am grateful for my son’s sense of humor. I am grateful for the Internet. It’s amazing how many amazing people I’ve connected with and how much you can do and learn online. Astonishing!
I am feeling…relaxed, enthusiastic and ready for bed! 🙂
